Just Beachy

I can't help it, no matter what I do, all I think about is the dang beach. I'm just in a stinkin' beach mood.



I tried thinking about work, but that didn't help.



I tried to think about Tyler and his basketball skills, but that didn't help.




My mind keeps racing right back to beaches!! I've gotta get to a beach!!
Ok, I guess I'll go to San Diego! Too bad, I have to wait till July, but ohh I'm going to enjoy many many days in the hot sun at the "hot" beach! I can't wait to feel the sand between my toes!!

Maybe then I won't be so beachy! haha!

UPDATE: The grass is getting greener!!!

Lawn work is so rewarding!!! As promised, I'm posting an update on the "bad side" of the lawn. Looking better huh? IT just proves that if you take care of your lawn/plants/flowers, etc..., they WILL be pretty and nice looking! AND really it's not THAT much work.

Yep, it's official! I found a job in California, the position is called "playing all day" and I found this lovely place with a guest house included... so everyone is welcome to visit...and contrary to popular belief, it's not haunted!



I've even got a lovely entrance to my property. Isn't it cute?

The grass is always greener on the other side...

The grass certainly is greener on the other side....the other side where you have already power raked, thatched, AND fertilized...sheesh!

Back, I'd say the first part of April, my dad did all the "good" stuff to the one side of the lawn and then the next weekend it snowed and the next weekend it was freezing and the next weekend...sheesh..it was terrible. FINALLY, I helped him this last weekend and we got the other side done. You can definitely see the difference! The funniest part about the whole thing, both sides were green looking until we started ....and we basically took off the top layer of "green" grass, revealing the dead, brown and yellow grass. After raking and raking, (I'm a wimp...my arm was killing me), we finally made some headway. My dad gathered up the piles and I ran over the lawn with the mower to suck up any last remaining blades of dead grass. It's now fertilized and we've been throwing the water on heavy. I'll keep you updated on the greening of the "bad side".

It was funny though..I was texting a friend and he asked what I was doing and I told him laundry and then maybe 30 minutes later he asked how the laundry was coming and I told him I was now dicing and cooking chicken. Well not 15 minutes later he asked how the chicken was coming and I said "ohh now I'm raking the lawn" Haha..I felt like the girl of many trades.....er...maybe I'm wonderwoman!

White girls can't ju...err....make alley-oops

White girls (Kristi) can make layups, white girls (Kristi) can make jump shots, and white girls (Kristi) can make the occasional 3 point shot, but OHH no...Kristi can't make alley-oops. Unless I grow, about 8 inches taller, I can safely say that I will never attempt one.......EVER AGAIN! It happened last night, while I was trying to show Tyler some different cool shots, I did a fancy under the hoop - backwards one handed layup, I did a cool quick off the pass shot, but the alley oop...yeah...not me! I shot the ball up beautifully, it hit the backboard in just the right spot, made its descent back toward me and my finger got in the way! My pretty little ring finger. OUCH! I thought I was gonna pass out from pain...seriously! It still hurts today, in fact I need to take a break from typing because it's hurting........................................................................................................................................................................................ok, I'm back.

You can't really tell in the picture I took, but it's purple-ish black-ish blue. Nice shade! :) I think I just jammed it, luckily I can move it and all that, it just hurts!



*sidenote* It's on my left hand...and in case you didn't know...I'm a lefty!
