Warm Fuzzy

What is a warm fuzzy?

warm fuzzies -the warm, pleasant sensations one feels in the stomach and heart area when emotionally moved by an act of goodwill or love.

warm fuzzies - warming messages of friendliness or love to someone expressing a kind message to show gratitude toward one person or a whole group of people.

The opposite of warm fuzzy is a cold prickly.

Last night we had our first dress rehearsal for Ghost Tours, it’s definitely coming along!! Yay!! My dear sweet mother requested a cd with “ghostly voices” and being the great daughter that I am, I quickly logged onto the computer to see what I could find. Before my fingers could even make a move, my heart danced!!! My sweet Tyler left a couple of “warm fuzzies” on the computer desk. He drew a picture of the two of us playing football and another picture of what I’m guessing could be me, but I never knew I had such short hair. :) At the top of each picture were the words – “I love Kristi” awwww……*eyes watering* It’s so amazing to see little kids minds at work and to see what they take from life - the moments they remember and treasure. I know that the times I spend with him are very impressionable and I know I love every memory that I make with him. I’m sooo touched that he feels the same way. OH, and if you don’t know by now, I’m a softy……total softy! I still cry every time I watch Hope Floats. I know, don’t make fun! So yes, that cute little “warm fuzzy” caused my eyes to well up. I love that little guy…and I love that he loves me!!!

What a sweet reminder -- share those warm fuzzies!!!!

Let the scares begin!

It's that time of year, When the world falls in love, Ev'ry song you hear seems to say "Merry Christm……." Ohhhh...wrong holiday!! (although ---I LOVE LOVE LOVE Christmas and I LOVE LOVE LOVE the Carpenters Christmas album)

Ok focus... last night we had Ghost Tours 2009 Orientation......and it was CRAZY!!!! I can't believe how many volunteers showed up. (95% of the volunteers come from Wyo Tech) Seriously, when I arrived at the Territorial Prison, I pulled in the parking lot and it was FULL! FULL!! My mouth literally dropped open in awe. AND when I walked into the horsebarn, it was so packed, it was standing room only, Janine and I ended up hanging out the door trying to listen to my mom give her "Welcome" speech. *side note* It was FREEZING cold last night!

BUT never you fear, eventually the crowd shifted and we were able to make it in the warmth of the building...ahhhh... :)

After we broke into the 3 groups - Horsebarn crew, Downtown crew, and Prison crew - I explained the Horsebarn portion and the parts we needed and Janine took down names. Still crazy- we had soo many volunteers that we started running out of positions! OH and I have to add - this group last night was so awesome!! They all were so eager and excited and just a good bunch of guys! (Rumor has it, they counted 151 volunteers!! WOW!!!)

Once again, Ghost Tours of Laramie City, will be a huge hit!
The tour starts at the Horsebarn and moves down to a Hayride through Frontier town and the streets of Downtown Laramie, and back to the Park for a candle light tour of the Prison. It's a fun and frightful time, with factual ghost stories and re-enactments. Warning: Haunts and scares lurk behind every corner!!

AS always - Reservations are always encouraged and HIGHLY recommended, as it SELLS out EVERY year. We end up turning away so many people...CALL early if you want to come!

Opening night is October 16! (The 17th is blacked out ......for my birthday, but don't tell anyone..shhhhhh!!!!) October 22, 23, 24, 29, 30, and of course the 31st! The first tour is at 7:00 p.m. and the last one is at 9:30 pm. Tours leave the park every half hour.
Let the SCARES begin............ (if you are brave enough)
